What this app does

Tile & Tell lets you turn photos into shareable puzzles. You can send a link so friends can solve the puzzle and then save the original image.

Data we collect

We collect only what’s needed to provide the service:

• Photos you choose
  When you create a puzzle, a lightweight “puzzle” image and the original image are uploaded to our storage so the puzzle can be played and the original can be saved after completion.
• Puzzle metadata
  IDs, timestamps, basic settings (e.g., piece count), and the share link.
• Diagnostics (optional)
  Crash reports and basic performance data to improve stability. No advertising identifiers. No third-party ad tracking.

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or personal identifiers unless you email us for support.

Photos & device permissions

• Read access (your selection only): When you pick a photo to turn into a puzzle, the app is granted access only to the items you select (via the system photo picker). The app does not gain unrestricted access to your entire photo library.
• Photos “Add Only” permission: To save the original image to your library after a puzzle is solved, the app requests the Add Only Photos permission so it can write the image to your Photos without reading other items.

You can change photo permissions anytime in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Photos.

How we use your data

• To generate and host puzzle content you intentionally create.
• To deliver links that open your puzzles.
• To fix bugs and improve performance (diagnostics).

Data sharing

We don’t sell your data. We use trusted processors to run the app:

• Apple (iOS, TestFlight, App Store)
• Google Firebase (hosting/storage, optional crash logs)

These providers process data on our behalf under their terms.

Storage & retention

• Puzzle images and metadata are stored in our cloud storage.
• Data (including images and links) is automatically removed from Firebase approximately 24 hours after creation, and the share link becomes void.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Contact info@visioimpulse.com and we’ll help.

Security

We use HTTPS and industry-standard safeguards. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate (e.g., the EU and the US). We rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers.
